Chapter 571 - 542: Quite Pretty

Chapter 571 - 542: Quite Pretty

Simon Forrester was puzzled, "Who?"Sienna Thornton glanced at the nurse walking ahead, leaned in close to Simon’s ear, and whispered, "Does Mr. Blackwood have an affair with Dr. Sutton?"

Simon laughed out loud, tapping her forehead lightly, "What on earth are you filling that little head of yours with."

"Then what exactly is their relationship..." Sienna insisted, pestering Simon for an answer.

Simon wrapped an arm around her, protecting her in his embrace, glanced around, then lowered his head to whisper in her ear, "Dr. Sutton and Mrs. Blackwood are like you and Maeve, but since Dr. Sutton has always lived in the city, she’s more closely connected with Mrs. Blackwood, and they frequently interact. Plus, Tobias has also helped Dr. Sutton with a lot of things."

He left it at that, and Sienna understood. After a moment, she asked, "Mr. Blackwood is on good terms with his wife’s best friend, so why aren’t you on good terms with mine?"

Not only not on good terms, but Simon also seemed to dislike Maeve a bit. Sienna could sense this, and so after they started dating, she subconsciously distanced herself from Maeve a lot.

After getting married, she wanted Maeve to be the spokesperson for the department store the Forrester Family gave her. Simon had someone investigate and said Maeve didn’t fit the brand, so they rejected the idea. As a result, Maeve had to go out to socialize now and then to secure sponsorship for her tours.

Maeve had helped her so much before, but now, she couldn’t do anything to help Maeve.

Thinking about all this, Sienna was a bit upset. She let out a soft humph, turning her face away.

Simon knew what was bothering her and, to prevent upsetting her further, he reassured her, "I’ll have Harrison handle the sponsorship for Maeve’s tour tomorrow."

Sienna was skeptical, "What can Harrison do?"

"SY has many heavyweight real estate clients. It should be easy to find a few to talk to. Real estate companies sponsoring star concerts is quite common."

"Really?" Sienna cheered up, hugging Simon’s arm, "I’ll be waiting for your good news then."

Simon instructed, "Since I’ve promised you, I’ll definitely get it done! You’re carrying a child now, can you worry a little less? When you worry, our child is unsettled along with you."

Sienna giggled, sticking her tongue out playfully, and said no more.

The two of them went to the examination room, and this time, Simon went in with her.

Joyce Sutton recognized Simon since he had also attended Tobias Blackwood and Nadia’s wedding. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, they got down to business.

"I’ve seen the report," Joyce moved her gaze from the computer screen to Simon and Sienna, "Let’s talk about the issues with the mother first."

This caused Sienna’s heart to skip a beat, and she immediately felt a chill run through her, clutching Simon’s hand tightly.

Simon squeezed her hand, softly comforting her, "It’s okay, let’s hear what the doctor has to say first."

Joyce smiled, "It’s okay, it’s okay. The mother is in good health, just a little anemic and has low blood pressure. Has she been injured or ill recently?"

Simon replied, "No, her low blood pressure and anemia are hereditary. My mother-in-law has the same issue."

Joyce nodded and typed on the computer, "In that case, the mother should consume more iron-rich foods, like organ meats and dark-colored fruits and vegetables."

Neither Simon nor Sienna liked eating organ meats, and the thought of consuming more of them made them feel quite nauseous.

Simon asked, "If we consume too many organ meats, we might also take in too much cholesterol. Is there another way?"

Joyce replied, "You might consider using liquid iron supplements. Now let’s address the low blood pressure issue."

She turned to Sienna, smiling, "You should exercise more. Also, eat smaller meals more frequently, as eating too much at once can reduce the blood flow back to the heart. And remember, you should avoid fatigue, not just now while you’re pregnant, but later on as well."

Upon hearing this, Simon realized that Dr. Sutton was quite perceptive, pinpointing the small habits of Sienna’s lifestyle.

Before she started working, Sienna hadn’t been keeping up with her nutrition and rest, and given her constant focus on studying, she neither exercised regularly nor had time for it. This, combined with her existing anemia and low blood pressure, worsened her condition. Living a regular life with Simon for three or four years now still hasn’t fully resolved her anemia and low blood pressure.

Though she claimed to be healthy, she wasn’t entirely so. Her resistance was good, which meant she rarely had minor illnesses like colds or fevers.

.

Joyce spent a considerable amount of time discussing how to improve Sienna’s physical condition with her, and this time, unlike when Simon mentioned these things, which would usually cause a dispute, she obediently listened to the doctor’s advice.

Lastly, Joyce specifically instructed them not to be impulsive during the first three and last three months of pregnancy, saying the baby is important.

Initially, Sienna didn’t understand and thought Joyce was warning them to avoid arguments for those six months. But in the car, when she mentioned it again, Simon laughed and said, "Who cares if you argue or not, the doctor was telling us to refrain from marital activities for those six months. How could you not get that?"

Sienna had a puzzled look, "Why would she specifically bring that up? Do we look like the type of people who act impulsively?"

Simon chuckled, "It’s not that you look impulsive, but that you two seem to have a particularly good relationship!"

Sienna caught on and burst out laughing.

The car left the hospital grounds, and halfway through, Simon called Tobias Blackwood, asking him to arrange for dinner with Joyce Sutton. Tobias agreed, asked after Sienna, and checked in on Simon’s ’daughter’, before hanging up.

Sienna joked, "The whole world knows you want a daughter! What if we have a son, then what?"

"What else can we do? We’ll just raise him," Simon replied.
