Chapter 406 - 404: Brother Lu, Am I Going Blind?
Chapter 406 - 404: Brother Lu, Am I Going Blind?
Next to him, Ian also nodded, "I didn’t receive anything either."The situation suddenly reached an impasse again.
After a long silence, Lu Shinian spoke again, "I’ll ask Aiers when she comes back."
As soon as he finished speaking, the space twisted for a moment.
Aiers’ figure appeared not far away.
She obviously didn’t know what had happened here, and seeing Lu Shinian outside, her eyes lit up, "Is the cub better?"
As she spoke, she wanted to go to Su Ruan’s room to find her but was grabbed by Rock beside her.
"Wait."
Aiers looked at Rock in confusion, "Why?"
"The cub said she heard many voices, and we suspect it’s the voices of those low-level Insect Clan."
"Impossible!" Aiers reacted the same way as them.
The antennae on her head suddenly emerged, trembling slightly, and in a serious tone, she said, "I haven’t received the cub’s signal."
"I didn’t receive it either," Rock replied, "neither did Ian."
Ian, who hadn’t had the chance to speak yet: ...
Damn.
"What about those low-level Insect Clan now?" Ian said quickly, eager to speak.
"They are already asleep," Aiers said, frowning, "but their resistance this time was significantly stronger."
"I had to issue an absolute command to make them sleep."
She spoke with a bit of worry.
"If this goes on, we might not be able to suppress them; we’ll have to wait for the King to come back to do it."
After speaking, she looked at Lu Shinian and questioned, "What do you mean the cub heard many voices?"
"Isn’t the cub in a special period? Why aren’t you with her?"
"She’s asleep." Lu Shinian’s voice was calm, not minding Aiers’ questioning at all.
"She’s not just in a special period." He said confidently.
Even though he didn’t understand the Insect Race, he knew a special period wouldn’t be like this, hearing many voices.
Ruan Ruan even had killing intent toward those voices, which was definitely not normal.
Seeing Lu Shinian’s calm expression, Aiers simply nodded.
Not to mention anything else, this human had quite a good temper.
Aiers calmed her own temper and spoke again, "Archi has now adjusted the destination; let’s go to S-01 Star first."
"Maybe things will get better there."
Lu Shinian hummed in agreement. He hadn’t stopped the Insect Race member named Archi from going to the control room because they originally planned to go to S-01 Star.
Since Archi took the initiative, it saved him the explanation.
Seeing that these insects didn’t know what was going on, he didn’t linger any longer, nodded slightly to them.
"I’ll go accompany Ruan Ruan."
He said this, turned around, and went back to the room, leaving the three insects looking at each other.
In the end, someone spoke up first, "Should we try to see if we can receive the cub’s signal?"
They received agreement from the other two insects.
The cub’s signal, it sounds exciting just thinking about it!

The Starship adjusted its direction, quickly heading toward S-01 Star.
While Su Ruan was sleeping, the Starship arrived at S-01 Star.
When the Starship stopped, Zero noticed it immediately.
He scanned the external environment, confirming this should be the Central Star of the Insect Race.
Just didn’t know why these Insect Race members brought them here.
Zero was analyzing while moving Black Egg slightly away from the baby; Black Egg relentlessly snuggled back.
Zero: ...
This Black Egg, it’s too much of a bully on the baby.
Zero continued battling with Black Egg, while Su Ruan woke up in the darkness.
She blinked and vaguely saw a figure, tentatively calling out.
"Brother Lu?"
"I’m here." Lu Shinian held her hand, speaking quietly, "Ruan Ruan, we’ve reached S-01 Star."
Su Ruan only saw a blur of white in front of her, as if Lu Shinian was just a vague silhouette, so she raised her hand to rub her eyes.
But that hazy feeling didn’t disappear at all.
She puzzlingly asked, "Brother Lu, is there something on my eyes?"
Lu Shinian leaned closer in response.
Su Ruan’s pupils had always been pure black, but now they glowed with a faint red, that pure black stained with blood-like red.
"Nothing’s there," Lu Shinian replied, "but your eyes are a little red."
He held her hand, stopping her from rubbing more.
"Are your eyes uncomfortable?"
"I’ll get the Healing Device to treat you."
Su Ruan obediently nodded.
Lu Shinian quickly fetched the Healing Device and scanned Su Ruan’s eyes.
"Is it better now?"
Su Ruan tried hard to open her eyes wider to see Lu Shinian, still seeing only a vague blur.
She shook her head, "I can’t see clearly."
"I can only see a blurry silhouette of you."
Lu Shinian was taken aback.
"How about other things?" he asked.
Su Ruan turned her head to look elsewhere, and the hazy impression intensified, leaving only dark shadows visible.
"I can’t see clearly," she said softly, "almost not at all."
She touched her eyes, jokingly saying, "Brother Lu, will I go blind?"
"No," Lu Shinian’s voice was assured, "Ruan Ruan, you’ll be fine."
He picked her up, walking out.
"We’re going to the Crystal Palace on S-01 Star now."
Su Ruan wrapped her arms around Lu Shinian’s neck, nodding obediently, resting her head near his heart, hearing his almost frantic, irregular heartbeat, her long lashes fluttered slightly.
Seeing Su Ruan come out, Aiers and the other insects immediately stood up, surrounding her.
Su Ruan could only discern some blurry figures, but she cleverly guessed who was around her.
She beamed a big smile and spoke, "Aiers, Ian, Rock, Archi."
She called out all four names.
Ian, hearing his name, responded cheerfully, "I’m here."
"How are you feeling now, cub? Can you still hear those strange voices?"
Su Ruan shook her head, "Not anymore."
"That’s good." Ian breathed a sigh of relief, "We’re heading to the Crystal Palace now; the King has conveyed some messages to us."
Su Ruan nodded.
Guided by Ian and the others, Lu Shinian carried Su Ruan off the Starship and soon reached the Crystal Palace.
Ian and the others didn’t have the authority to enter the Crystal Palace, so they escorted them to the entrance, opening the door for Lu Shinian to carry Su Ruan inside.
As they watched Lu Shinian carrying her in, the door of the Crystal Palace slowly closed.
"Will the cub be alright?" someone asked uncertainly.
"Of course she’ll be alright." another voice answered.
The cub couldn’t possibly be in trouble, they absolutely wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen!
After a long silence, an insect suddenly spoke.
"Isn’t Archi in the control room?"
"Then why did the cub just..."
Call Archi’s name.
