Chapter 626: Transcending Perfection (2)
Chapter 626: Transcending Perfection (2)
Ash held the thin, luminous thread between his fingers, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Even though it was one of the most fundamental threads of the First Absence, it did not originate from Pantheos. And because of that, he had no real interest in accepting it in its current form.
Pantheos was fundamentally different from the outside existence.
It was built upon the foundations of absolute freedom. From the moment a being was born or ascended here, they already possessed power that most mortals could only dream of.
There was no fuel required to use abilities, no need to draw from external sources, and no requirement to comprehend outside laws or Divine Authorities.
Everything they needed already existed within them.
Because of this, there was truly no natural place for something like Fundamental Permissions within Pantheos — at least not yet.
Ash had always been willing to use aspects from the outside existence as a foundation for future creations and additions to his verse.
However, he had no intention of directly implementing something on the level of Fundamental Permissions right now.
Before he ever considered adding such a system, he wanted to test it on himself first — to see if it was... overpowered enough.
With that decision made, Ash tightened his grip on the thread.
In the next moment, he activated one of his innate powers.
|External Conversion (Above Origin)|
HUMMMM!!!
The thread reacted immediately.
It began to twist and resist, as if it could sense that it was about to be fundamentally changed.
A low, conceptual hum filled the space around Ash as the power took hold. The thread stretched and unraveled, its essence breaking down into countless motes of raw, formless potential.
But like mentioned, Ash did not simply absorb it.
He reshaped it.
With steady focus, he drew the thread’s core into himself, reshaping its very essence.
The old idea of Permission — granting the right to act — felt too limiting, much like everything else in the outside existence.
He evolved it into something far greater.
In Pantheos, the step beyond Decrees and Divine Authorities would be Divine Commands.
While Permission sought allowance, a Divine Command proclaimed reality. It didn’t ask. It stated.
As the conversion continued, Ash made deliberate adjustments.
He stripped away the foreign nature of the First Absence and aligned the thread with Pantheos’ core principle of absolute freedom.
The once-vague strand of potential slowly condensed, shifting from colorless light into a radiant, golden-white filament that pulsed with quiet authority.
When the process was complete, a new thread hovered above his palm.
It was no longer the simple Permission of Possibility.
It had become the Divine Command of Definition.
This new thread did not merely allow possibilities to exist.
It defined what was possible.
Ash stared at the glowing thread for a moment, feeling its weight settle deep into his being. The Divine Command of Definition had successfully merged with him, but he already knew this was only the beginning.
He lowered his hand and spoke calmly.
"However, this was merely the first step."
Nia and Elysia both turned to look at him.
They both had noticed that he was clearly not beginning on the things Elysia had advised. And while Elysia knew exactly what they were seeing and what he was trying to accomplish.
Nia, although she could see the permissions, she didn’t truly know what he was trying to do per say.
Ash continued, his eyes narrowing with quiet focus.
"If I’m going to add something to my eyes... something that goes beyond Quantum."
Nia blinked, then let out a soft chuckle. She leaned against his side, resting her head on his shoulder with an amused expression.
"Beyond Quantum?" she repeated, her voice carrying a teasing lilt. "Ashy, what could possibly go beyond that? You can already do whatever you want with it."
Elysia also let out a light, elegant laugh, covering her mouth with her fingers as she looked at him with gentle amusement.
"She’s right," Elysia said softly. "Unara already has the ability to reshape reality on a whim. What could you possibly add that would be greater than that?"
Ash turned his head slightly to glance at both of them.
A small, confident smile slowly curved across his lips.
If he were being honest—a fact Elysia already knew—he wasn’t exactly sure what could top this, but he had everything he needed to make it happen.
With the Divine Commands, a verse capable of evolving him at will, and even the power to edit the novel itself, he was certain of success.
"Just watch," he said. "I’ll show you how it’s done."
Nia and Elysia exchanged a quick glance.
Nia chuckled, while Elysia simply smiled, both clearly amused by his confidence.
In that moment, Ash closed his eyes.
He wasn’t just thinking — he was actively reaching out with his omniscience, diving deep into the vast reservoir of knowledge stored within Pantheos. His consciousness swept through the Library like a tidal wave, pulling up every theory, concept, and fragment of information related to Quantum physics from both his past life and the countless realities he had devoured.
He saw it all.
String Theory, M-Theory, the Many-Worlds Interpretation, Quantum Entanglement, Superposition, the Observer Effect — they all unfolded before him in rapid succession.
Yet, the more he searched, the more he realized something.
Everything eventually circled back to Quantum.
No matter how advanced or complex the theory appeared on the surface, they all operated within the same foundational framework — probability, observation, wave functions, and the collapse of potential into reality.
They were all extensions or reinterpretations of Quantum mechanics in one form or another.
Ash’s brows furrowed slightly as he continued searching.
Then, something finally stood apart.
Dark Matter.
Unlike the others, Dark Matter didn’t neatly fit into the Quantum framework.
It existed as an invisible, undetectable mass that influenced gravity on a cosmic scale, yet it refused to interact with light, electromagnetism, or most known forces.
It was something that existed alongside reality rather than within its known rules.
It was an anomaly.
