Aoki Reiko’s face warmed, then she shook her head and said, "No, I just said we were hanging out together. Um... Yifei, you’re not mad, are you?"

"What’s there to be mad about? We can take it slow. Your dad’s future father‑in‑law status isn’t going anywhere; he’ll find out sooner or later."

Hearing this from Li Yifei, Aoki Reiko gave a slight nod, pressed her lips together, and said, "Yifei, I still... haven’t gotten ready yet. I mean mentally, so I didn’t tell my dad just now..."
