Chapter 573: Brothers Reunited!
Chapter 573: Brothers Reunited!
The raging wind and snow were cleaved apart by the invisible sword energy.
A figure slowly appeared. It was none other than Shamrock, the commander of the Knights of God.
He wore magnificent silver-white armor, its surface gleaming with a cold metallic sheen. A long, narrow cross-shaped sword rested casually in his right hand, its blade unstained by blood. He had stepped over countless corpses.
Slowly walk to the opposite side of Shanks!
His gaze immediately locked onto the red-haired man a hundred meters ahead.
Shamrock stopped in his tracks.
Looking at his long-lost younger brother, Shanks, from a distance.
Shakugan's lips curled upwards. A cold laugh, a mixture of mockery and madness, appeared on his face.
He shouted out that long-forgotten name.
"Brother, it's been so long!"
The sound wasn't deafening, yet it was like an invisible blade, easily piercing through the surrounding shouts and explosions, clearly resounding throughout the local battlefield.
"I never imagined that my brother and I would meet in such a filthy place!"
The giant warriors fighting around them suddenly stopped. One twenty-meter-tall giant forgot to swing his battle axe, letting the monster's claws slash at his shield, sending sparks flying. He stared wide-eyed at Shanks, his bloodshot eyes fixed on him.
Shanks is one of the Four Emperors. He is a renowned pirate who has made his mark on the seas. He is Luffy's mentor.
And that killer, exuding an aura of superiority, actually called him brother?
It instantly shocked everyone around.
Shamrock ignored the shocked looks around him.
He simply tightened his grip on the weapon at his waist.
His previously calm gaze instantly turned icy cold, like a thousand-year-old block of ice.
He stared intently at his younger brother. The air around him became unusually tense.
The air was thick with a suffocating, oppressive atmosphere.
Shamrock's smile vanished. His eyes turned contemptuous. He raised his right hand. The tip of his cross-shaped sword was pointed directly at Shanks' nose.
"Shut up, my stupid brother!"
Shamlock shouted sternly.
"You traitor who betrayed your bloodline! You have utterly disgraced the Ferrangard family!"
His voice was filled with gritted teeth and bitter hatred. It echoed across the empty battlefield, tinged with a morbid arrogance.
"You originally possessed the noblest bloodline in the world! You were a Celestial Dragon! You should have stood at the pinnacle of power in Mary Geoise! You should have looked down upon these ants struggling in the mire!"
Shamrock swung his longsword violently.
"And what about you? You actually abandoned your status as a descendant of the Creator! You willingly ran off to this inferior sea! You mingled with those lowly people who reek of filth!"
Shamrock grew increasingly agitated as he spoke. His features were contorted with extreme arrogance, and the veins on his forehead throbbed.
"You call those scum your friends! You lost an arm for a mere ant from the East Sea! Your behavior is utterly incomprehensible! You have disgraced our noble bloodline! You have made our entire clan a laughingstock of the Holy Land!"
Every word was like a poisoned knife. He couldn't accept someone with divine blood becoming a mud-covered pirate.
Shanks listened to his brother's frantic shouting and let out an extremely cold snort.
Press your right thumb against the guard. Push upwards sharply.
"Clang!"
A crisp metallic scraping sound rang out. Griffin's blade was drawn half an inch. A blinding glint flashed in the wind and snow.
Shanks looked up. His gaze was like a knife, piercing straight at Shamrock.
"I'm not used to that kind of arrogant, condescending lifestyle where you don't treat others like human beings!"
His voice was deep and commanding. Every word he uttered was firm and resolute.
"You treat human life like dirt. You mistake cruelty for nobility. You hide at the top of the Red Earth, sucking the blood of the world. That disgusting Mary Geoise makes it hard for me to breathe even for a second longer."
Shanks gripped the hilt of his sword. Conqueror's Haki silently spread beneath his feet. Dark red arcs of electricity flickered in the snow, crackling and popping.
"Compared to that glittering birdcage, I prefer this free sea. I prefer drinking heartily with my loyal and devoted friends. I prefer to measure the reality of this world with my own two feet."
There was not a trace of regret in his words. Only an extreme yearning for freedom and a deep-seated hatred for the Celestial Dragons system.
Shamrock's face instantly darkened to an extreme. His right hand gripped the hilt of the cross-shaped sword tightly, his knuckles turning pale from the excessive force.
A dark red killing intent suddenly erupted from his body. The killing intent burned like tangible flames around him. The surrounding temperature plummeted. The air condensed into ice crystals.
"Hopeless trash!"
Shamrock made the menacing announcement. His voice was devoid of any warmth.
"Since you've forgotten your roots, since you're so stubbornly determined to be a lowly commoner, then today, on behalf of my father, I will utterly eradicate you, this disgrace to the Frangard family!"
Hearing the word "father," one wonders which name represents the man.
Shanks's originally cold expression instantly turned into anger.
Shanks' pupils contracted sharply. His eyes instantly became bloodshot. An undisguised, furious rage erupted from them.
boom.
A dark red Conqueror's Haki erupted, centered on Shanks.
The surrounding ground instantly collapsed. Countless rubble flew skyward. A fierce wind extinguished the surrounding flames in an instant. The few monsters that were closest didn't even have time to scream. They were directly shaken by the terrifying and domineering aura, bleeding from all seven orifices. Their massive bodies crashed to the ground.
Shanks gritted his teeth. Every word was forced out from between his teeth, carrying a strong, bloody stench.
"That beast doesn't deserve to be called a father!"
Shanks unleashed a roar that shook the battlefield. The roar was laced with endless sorrow and deep-seated hatred. The sound waves shattered the snow in the sky, turning it into countless ice crystals.
"A man who can kill his own wife with his own hands! A demon who can plunge a blade into his lover's chest without any mercy! He shouldn't even be alive!"
Upon hearing this, the battlefield fell silent once more.
Garin Sei, the Supreme Commander of the Knights of God, actually killed his own wife with his own hands.
The shocking scandal sent chills down the spines of the giant warriors present.
Shamrock was struck where it hurt most. His eye twitched violently. His expression instantly turned ferocious. The noble demeanor he had maintained vanished completely.
"Shut up!"
Shamrock roared furiously, attempting to interrupt Shanks with his volume. His armor screeched metallically.
"What do you know! It was for the purity of the family! She was just an ordinary woman! Father did the right thing!"
Shamrock's arguments were illogical. His voice betrayed his barely concealed panic, as he tried to mask his inner fear and guilt with the ironclad rules of the Celestial Dragons.
Shanks completely lost control. He didn't care how many people were listening. This blood debt had to be settled today.
"My mother told me about what happened back then!"
"She did nothing wrong! You are being far too cruel!"
The Conqueror's Haki emanating from his body transformed into a raging hurricane.
"I swore an oath from that moment on!"
Shanks drew Griffin completely, the blade pointing directly at Shamrock. His eyes held a resolute determination to fight to the death.
"No matter the cost, no matter where I chase him, I will personally kill that bastard, Garin Sei!"
The two brothers completely broke off relations.
Shamrock said no more. He raised his right arm, holding the long, narrow cross-shaped sword horizontally in front of his chest. The blade was crackling with chilling black lightning. He was ready to strike.
