Luffy looked at the passage that Hajrudin and the others had cleared for them.
His face was expressionless. He didn't speak. Without hesitation, he took a step forward.

He stared intently at the dark crevice, ready to draw his sword at any moment. Loki was a dangerous variable. Once the chains were broken, no one knew what that madman, imprisoned for decades, would do.
Sanji stood to Luffy's right and slightly behind him. He stopped and pulled out a solid gold lighter.

A flame leaped up. He lit a cigarette. He exhaled smoke. The smoke dissipated in the air. He put the lighter back in his pocket. He lit it with the toe of his right foot. The leather shoe made a soft sound as it scraped against the stone slab. He didn't speak. But he was prepared to kick everything to pieces.
The two men stood on either side of Luffy, protecting him. They respected their captain's decisions and would not allow any danger to approach.
Luffy walked to the center of Loki's path, stopped, and looked up.
Luffy had been to this place once before!
He promised Loki last time, and this time he did it!
The room was dimly lit. Torches on the walls flickered violently. Loki was chained to the roots of the World Tree by thick metal chains. He was covered in blood, and his disheveled hair obscured most of his face.
His bloodshot eyes were covered by a huge white sheet. Loki stared at the tiny Luffy before him. Their gazes clashed fiercely in mid-air. No words were spoken. Only their wills clashed. On one side was a pirate. On the other, a captive jinx.
Luffy looked away and raised his right hand.
The black key was heavy. Its metallic surface gleamed with a dull light. Luffy aligned the tip of the key with the main lock. The lock was surrounded by scratches, scars left by time.
Luffy gripped the metal handle with both hands. His legs were spread apart, his feet firmly planted. He assumed a stable stance.

Luffy exhaled from his chest. He engaged his core, the power flowing from his feet to his waist, then up his spine and into his arms.
The muscles in his arms bulged. The veins throbbed beneath his skin. He gripped the keys tightly and twisted them sharply to the right.
The resistance was immense. The inside of the keyhole was covered in rust. Ten years had jammed the mechanism.
Luffy gritted his teeth, letting out a low growl.
Dark Armament Haki coiled around his hands. The Haki spread from his palms to the black key. A buzzing sound filled the air. Black lightning crackled along the edge of the key.
Luffy unleashes his power once again.

The rust was forcibly crushed. The key struggled to turn inside the lock.
Boom!
A dull thud exploded in the passageway. Large swaths of dust crumbled from the ceiling, falling softly and settling on everyone's shoulders and hair.
The core mechanism that trapped Loki has been released.

The heavy clanging of gears echoed repeatedly. The sound was jarring.
The chains slid open to both sides with a loud crash.
The slide rails made a scraping sound. The chain slid open faster and faster.
