NBA's Super Troublemaker

Chapter 3 What happened to the legendary coach? Go fetch the ball!

Chapter 3 What happened to the legendary coach? Go fetch the ball!

Inside the office.

Lute Olsen is frantically making pre-match plans.

The NCAA has reached the quarterfinals, and the Arizona Wildcats' next opponent is the Kansas Ravenhawks.

Led by Roy Williams, the University of Kansas has been unstoppable this season, securing the top seed in the Western Conference.

With players like Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich, the team is extremely dominant on both offense and defense, making them a favorite for this year's NCAA championship.

"This is a very tough match."

The Arizona Wildcats have a pretty good offense, which comes from Lute Olsen's coaching style, which emphasizes high pick-and-roll and dynamic offense, and places high demands on spacing and passing.

With Luke Walton and Jason Garnard initiating the offense, the Arizona Wildcats often unleash a series of fluid and powerful offensive surges.

The problem is that the Kansas Ravenhawks will definitely make arrangements to address this, and if Jason Garnard is contained, the team's offensive system will become ineffective.

"If only we had a reliable three-point shooter on the team, we'd have a much better chance against the Kansas Ravenhawks," Lute Olsen thought.

The problem is, there really isn't one.

After a season, the players have basically performed to their full potential, so how could a pitcher suddenly appear and be used?

This thing isn't going to fall from the sky.

thump.

dong dong.

An urgent knocking sound broke Lute Olsen's thoughts.

"Please come in."

The team's assistant coach rushed in, shouting, "Boss, something terrible has happened!"

"What is it?"

"I just went to the locker room, and Mata and Rogers were knocked unconscious inside. God, thank goodness no one was killed!" the assistant coach sighed. "Guess who did it? It was that guy Hansen Lee!"

Lute Olsen then asked, "What caused the fight?"

The assistant coach replied, "Mata said Hansen Lee peed on both of their seats! Damn! What awful behavior! So outrageous!"

Lute Olsen, who is nearly 70 years old, couldn't help but twitch his lips upon hearing this.

What a stupid thing to do! It's so unfair!

Where are they?

"I've already sent them to the infirmary."

"I mean, where's Hansen Lee? That damn guy! The team's at this point, and they're still fighting amongst themselves!" Lute Olsen was furious.

As the head coach, I have absolute authority over the team. Fighting among players is strictly prohibited, and any player found to be involved will be immediately dismissed.

Lute Olsen initially had a good impression of Hansen Lee, finding him to be reserved, humble, hardworking, and possessing amazing physical talent, though he was far from being ready for NCAA games.

If you keep working hard for three more years, you might still have a chance to become a substitute.

Unexpectedly, this guy actually dared to make a move in the locker room!

"Bring Hansen Lee here!"

……

Li He had just arrived at the training hall and chatted with Iguodala for a few minutes when he was called away by the assistant coach.

Upon arriving at the office, Li He met Lute Olsen face-to-face for the first time.

The savior of the University of Arizona Wildcats, one of the greatest coaches in the history of American college basketball, and the one who led the U.S. men's basketball team to victory over the Soviet Union in 1986 to win the World Championship gold medal.

The old man had a kind face, but why did he seem a little unhappy?

Lute Olsen took a deep breath:

"Hansen, come on, tell me what you've done."

Li He looked bewildered: "Boss, what did I do?"

"You're truly unrepentant. Do I need to give you a hint?" Lute Olsen said angrily. "I heard you urinated on Mata and Rogers' seats in the locker room, and then knocked them unconscious after being caught!"

Is this true?

Li He suddenly realized, thinking to himself, "Oh, boss, this is what you mean."

So he nodded seriously and said, "That's true."

"According to team rules, you can pack your bags and get out now!" Lute Olsen said coldly. "I don't want to see you on the team again."

Li He smiled wryly: "Boss, aren't you going to ask why we did this?"

Blinded by rage, Lute Olsen belatedly asked, "So, what led you to do something so heinous?"

"Because Mata and Rogers bullied me," Li He explained, "and more than once, I couldn't take it anymore."

"Is there any evidence?"

Li He took a recorder out of his bag and handed it to Lute Olsen, whose face darkened even more after listening to it carefully.

"This is blatant bullying. Shouldn't I have taken action against people like this?" Li He smiled calmly. "It's already very polite of them not to have too much iron in their bodies, boss."

Lute Olsen rubbed his forehead. Was this still the reserved and humble young Chinese man? He was now showing his sharp edge, and there was a sense that he couldn't be contained.

"Bullying is absolutely unacceptable within the team. If it's confirmed, both of them will definitely be expelled."

"But if this happens again in the future, you can tell me directly, and I will help you solve it," Lute Olsen added.

Li He shook his head: "After this incident, I don't think such a thing will happen again."

Lute Olsen: ...

That's how strange it is to be in school. When you encounter bullying, you're often too embarrassed to tell the teacher.

On the other hand, even if teachers step in to resolve the issue, it cannot be completely cured.

The only way to completely resolve the issue is to beat them up and demonstrate your strength.

"Looks like max-level [Boxing] is still useful," Li He thought to himself.

"Now I can beat up my teammates, and when I get to the NBA, I can have a friendly match with them to strengthen our bond and solve problems like men do," Li He thought to himself.

After learning what had happened, Coach Lute Olsen looked apologetic and sincere.

"OK, Hansen, I apologize for my abruptness earlier."

Li He shrugged and said shamelessly, "Boss, don't just apologize, go get me two sets of balls, I haven't practiced my shooting yet today."

Now it was Lute Olsen's turn to be unsettled.

The Wildcats have dedicated assistant coaches to help the players with their training.

Lute Olsen is nearly 70 years old, his hair is all white, and his hands and feet are not very nimble. Li He actually asked him to pick up the ball. It would be a joke if word got out.

Moreover, according to Lute Olsen's memory, Hansen Lee's shooting ability was very poor, so he was deliberately messing with him to get revenge for what happened earlier.

Despite the earlier blunder, Lute Olsen nodded and said, "OK, Hansen, I'll help you pick up two sets of balls."

"I'd like to take this opportunity to correct your shooting technique. Seriously, you really need to work on that damn shooting, otherwise you'll still have a hard time getting playing time next season."

"If you covered his face, I would have thought it was Shaquille O'Neal shooting a three-pointer!" Lute Olsen joked.

Hearing this, Li He laughed.

Dear Coach Lute Olsen, whose shooting form are you going to correct?

Klay Thompson is widely recognized as having the most standard shooting form in history, an absolute shooting textbook, and one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

Will he have little chance to play next season?

Sorry, I won't be with the Wildcats for much longer next season.
