Chapter 82 School
Chapter 82 School
The Christmas holidays are over, Platform 9¾
"Allie, behave yourself at school. If Gellert comes to complain again, you'll be in big trouble."
"Okay, Daddy, I'll be good."
Calvin showed no reluctance towards his son, only an urge to beat him. That day, Gellert and he talked for two hours in the study, all about Emeric's misdeeds.
"I'm leaving now, the train is about to depart."
Emeric immediately ran away. He didn't want to listen to his father's nagging anymore. It was all Gellert's fault. When he got back, he would find something for Dumbledore to do and make them separate.
"Brother Airi, over here!!!"
"Here you are."
Harry stood by the train door waiting for him; Draco and the others were already seated in the carriage. Emerick fell asleep as soon as he sat down; for some reason, he got sleepy as soon as he boarded the train.
He finally got a good night's sleep on the train. The previous times, he hadn't slept well because either Thunderbird or Draco was on the train, and there were always some minor accidents.
"You all travel in one carriage, I'll go find Lyra and Garian."
After talking to Harry and the others, Emeric went straight to find Garian and Lyra to sort out the clues. A Christmas holiday had passed and they still hadn't finished sorting out the clues.
All we know for now is that Voldemort possesses Horcruxes, and judging from the signs of his killings, he likely has around five, but we cannot guarantee that some of them might have been secretly made.
"My dear young master Ellie, can't you find someone else to do this job? I'm dying. Who drove senior Tom to become a pervert?"
"Your dear Headmaster Dumbledore."
"?"
"Eri, what did you say? I don't understand."
"It means that Dumbledore was too wary back then, which caused Tom, who was already in a bad mental state, to become completely abnormal."
Emeric patiently explained it once, and seeing Garian's somewhat dazed look, he added a few more words.
"It's said that the Gellert incident caused Dumbledore some stress, making him want to control any potential threats. So, under Dumbledore's strict upbringing, our senior Tom successfully became a psychopath."
"In my opinion, neither of them was inherently wrong; they just used the wrong methods. One wanted to protect peace, and the other wanted to live a better life. What's wrong with that?"
After hearing Emeric's words, Garian looked utterly disillusioned. All the work he was doing now was because of his idol's paranoia.
"What do you think? He and Gellert are a couple, how could they not have some common flaws? Okay, I didn't deny his other achievements, why do you look so dejected?"
"We're getting off soon." Leila didn't participate in their conversation at all, silently watching when they would get off the bus.
As soon as the carriage stopped, the young wizards poured into the Great Hall like fish, all ready to eat. The thing they missed most during holidays was the school food, so much so that some would stay at school for meals, especially the Hufflepuff badgers.
"Eri, can you come here for a second?"
"What's wrong, Professor Sprout?"
"Would you be willing to let the Hufflepuffs open a shop using your recipes? They'll pay you."
"Of course! I thought it was something else. They're using it to open a shop, right? Can you give me a membership card as payment? Like, the kind where you don't have to queue, or a discount card? I'm open to anything."
"Thank you, Airi. I had them give you the card. Thank you for letting them use it."
Emeric helped Sprout walk to the side. She was the person he respected most at Hogwarts; the other professors didn't need to worry about her.
Most Gryffindors become Aurors or have stable jobs; most Ravenclaws engage in research or have clear goals; Slytherins, needless to say, mostly return home to inherit their family businesses, and the rest are recruited; only Hufflepuffs, they have no particularly clear goals, no large family businesses, and no yearning for adventure, so many of them go into herb cultivation, and many of them are not doing very well.
Now that Emeric has not only created many positions at the school, but is also willing to give them the menu for free for commercial use, he must be a Hufflepuff man.
"Airi, are you really unwilling to come to Hufflepuff? The kitchen is right outside our dorm room."
Sprout couldn't resist trying to lure Emeric away again. Such a smart student who could cook should be Hufflepuff. Not many people in Slytherin can cook. How could he go to Slytherin?
"No, thank you, but I still prefer the atmosphere of Slytherin. Hufflepuff is a bit too enthusiastic, I can't handle it."
"Alright, but Hufflepuff's doors are always open to you."
Sprout, rejected once again, said she was used to it; McGonagall and Flitwick hadn't succeeded either, and everyone was equal.
After giving him a gentle hug, Sprout asked him to go to the auditorium for dinner. Having resolved a major concern, she felt much lighter on her feet.
"Young Master, I need to speak with you. Please leave with me for ten minutes, thank you."
"Sarafina, what happened?"
"Nothing much, I just caught a dog that keeps following Harry Potter around. I was wondering if you recognize it?"
Emeric took a closer look and was about to say he didn't recognize it when he suddenly remembered that Harry had a dog godfather. He began to suspect that the black dog on the ground might actually be Harry's godfather.
"Sirius Black?"
"Woof!"
"Alright, Salafina, I really do know this dog. I'm taking it to the cellar."
Emeric pulled out a dog leash and put it on the big black dog, intending to show this spectacle to Severus.
Maybe if he could coax Severus into a good mood, he would be willing to let him stay in the cellar. He still remembered how they had bullied Severus from the information he had found before.
Even if Severus fought back, it doesn't negate the bad things they did first. At that time, Dumbledore was biased and pretended not to know.
"Knock knock".
"Severus, do you need more test subjects? Sarafina caught a big black dog at the Quidditch pitch. It looks tough, so I brought it over. It shouldn't die too quickly."
The man who was writing his lesson plan looked up, wondering if Emeric had lost his mind—where did this big black dog come from at school? But when he saw the lump on the ground, his perpetually downturned lips curled into a smile, especially when he saw the collar and leash around the neck; Severus was practically bursting with laughter.
"Hey, Airi, let this dog go!!!"
When Dumbledore heard someone say that Emeric was dragging a black dog toward the cellar, he immediately realized something was wrong and ran toward the cellar.
But it was too late. Severus had already poured a bottle of itching powder and a bottle of dreamless sleeping potion onto the bed. They wanted to test whether people could scratch themselves while they were asleep.
The result was delightful; just as they were clearing the effects of the drug and preparing to move on to the next step, Dumbledore burst in.
"What dog? There aren't any dogs here!"
"Do you believe I'll send Harry over here?!"
"Mi"
Emeric transformed into a kitten and pounced into Severus's arms, meowing at Dumbledore with an air of self-righteousness. It was perfectly normal for him to be a cat now and not understand human speech.
"Then promise me you won't kill him, and you can do whatever you want with him."
"Can."
Dumbledore gave Severus a deep look, sighed, and left. He knew he had made a mistake back then, and now that Severus was taking revenge on these people, he couldn't afford to make the same mistake again.
